I want to create a shadow DOM for an element so I can display elements for a Chrome extension without the page styles affecting them.

I am trying to create an "enhanced" element by slotting contents using Shadow dom into it ... Is there a limitation so that we cannot <slot> into native elements?

I could also not use but I can't give up using the slot="" attribute because it is needed for the shadow DOM. IMHO, there appears to be a consistency issue with the deprecation of slots in favour of snippets ...
